Liturgy and Spiritual Life
Adoration Chapel
Spending time in meditation, prayer, and adoration in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament is an excellent opportunity to experience grace in our lives. Located west of the Rectory behind the former Simeon House, the Perpetual Adoration Chapel is visited by parishioners and members of other local Catholic communities. It is open 12 hours a day, and seven days a week. 9AM to 9PM.
Altar servers training
Alter Servers (fifth grade and older) minister through serving at Mass. They provide an example of service, devotion, and humility. They assist the priest and other ministers at the altar. Periodic training is held throughout the year.
Altar Society
St. Patrick’s Living Rosary Alter Society is a service and social group for all women of the parish. They care for the altar linens and vessels used in the Eucharistic celebration. They meet on the 3rd Tuesday, September – May.
Art & Entertainment
This committee uses artistic design, flowers, banners, and other decorations to enhance the interior of the church and help turn our thoughts to God and communal worship.
Cantors
Cantors lead the assembly in song during weekend Masses, Holy Days, Funerals, Weddings, etc. Training is provided as needed and scheduling is flexible.
Musicians
The musicians enhance any liturgical celebration, help mark its more important moments, and enable a rhythm of festivity.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word
A separate Children’s Church allows children to hear the Word of God in an age-appropriate setting. This program is designed for young children to develop a better understanding of their Catholic faith during Mass.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Eucharistic Ministers are an indispensable part of our Eucharistic celebrations. They assist the priest in the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass and, in the absence of a priest, at Services of Holy Communion.
Readers
These men and women minister to the parish during the Masses in the readings of Scripture. They devote time and preparation to understand the Word of God so that all may hear and be open to God transforming their lives.
Legion of Mary
The Legion of Mary seeks to promote devotion to the Blessed Mother. They meet regularly (usually weekly on Saturdays at noon) for common prayer. Full members make a commitment to daily prayer. They also engage in works of charity.
Liturgy Committee
This ministry provides for the “work of the people” and the “coming together for the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.” This ministry sets policy and direction for all parish liturgical celebrations at St. Patrick.
Rosary for Mothers
A prayer group for mothers with children meets during the school year to pray the rosary together.
Sacristan
Individuals are needed to minister before and after the Mass by preparing all that is needed for the Mass and other celebrations.
Usher/Greeter
Users greet parishioners and guests with a friendly smile and provide a variety of services at Mass such as assisting with seating, helping with collections, and distributing bulletins.
